Swimming Instructor Wanted in Hjo Municipality

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a swimming instructor, you will teach children aged 6-13 years how to swim. Instruction takes place in level-adjusted groups of about 8-11 participants. Participants will complete seven lessons, each lasting 45 minutes. Their skill levels range from non-swimmers to advanced badge earners. The swimming instructor may sometimes have assistance from another instructor or a summer intern. As a swimming instructor, you will teach both in the water and from the shore.

As an employed swimming instructor, you will receive swimming instructor training as well as mandatory training in First Aid and water rescue.

The swimming school lasts for three weeks: June 15 - July 3.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have good swimming skills and comfort in the water.

You are at least 16 years old, have good social skills, are organized, resilient, responsible, engaged, and possess great patience. You should have a desire to ensure that all participants have fun, feel good, and develop throughout the swimming school period.

You enjoy being outdoors and can handle both warm and cold days.

The water rescue training is mandatory for all employed swimming instructors and will take place over a weekend in May/June.

It is highly meritorious if you already have a documented swimming instructor qualification or other relevant education in pedagogy or leadership.

Significant weight is given to experience in swimming schools, other teaching activities, or leadership roles.

The swimming school starts on June 15, but at some point during the weeks prior, an information and planning meeting and water rescue training will be conducted.
